If you happen to be strolling through The Dubai Mall this November, you may wish to press an indulgent ‘pause’ on the world’s biggest retail therapy experience just for a ‘moment in time’… and immerse yourself the world of fine watchmaking.
More than 35 horological and jewellery brands will be part of an immersive and entertaining pop-up curated by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, with watches showcased in a welcoming, elegant space, with interactive elements on hand to guide visitors into the world of watchmaking.
If you’ve been thinking about your next horological acquisition, or even just want to take a little dive into this fascinating and richly storied universe, there’s plenty here to stimulate and provoke, from heritage brands with illustrious histories, to audacious contemporary brands that constantly push and challenge the boundaries of fine watchmaking.
Whether you’re a confirmed horophile or a curious newbie, the Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons pop-up in The Dubai Mall will bring the wristwatch world a little closer to you this November.
The pop-up space has been designed with experience zones that punctuate the visitor’s journey courtesy of opportunities for exploration, education and engagement. A series of transparent window arches forms the exterior of the graceful and welcoming space, allowing onlookers a tantalizing glimpse of the experience within. The arches themselves provide a showcase to celebrate life’s special moments through a series of artist-designed illustrations within each one. In addition, inside each arch, a ‘floating’ display allows visitors to admire the wristwatches and jewellery pieces showcased within.
The participating brands will be rotated throughout the month. Between November 4-13, visitors can explore and discover watches and jewellery from Ulysse Nardin, Messika, Girard Perregaux, Hublot, Chopard, Bovet, Moser and Moritz Grossman. Then, it’s all change between November 14 and 23, when it’s the turn of Tudor, Breitling, Bell & Ross, Frederique Constant, Louis Erard, Meistersinger, Norqain, Gerald Charles, Oris and Corum to step into the limelight.
Finally, from November 26 to 30, visitors will have the chance to see something truly special – a collection of exclusive and highly limited editions created especially to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the UAE. Each of the participating brands has created, hand in hand with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, a unique timepiece that pays homage to the UAE Year of the Fiftieth. The incredible collection of watches represents the finest watch brands in the world, whose association with ourselves at Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons – recently celebrating our 70 years – is a testament to our unique contribution to the watch collecting landscape in the region.
There are further activations to discover inside: A photobooth will allow participants to capture their visit with a uniquely designed commemorative photograph.
Finally, visitors can take part in an activation that offers a special prize for a select few lucky winners – the chance to win a gift or personalised experience at one of the mono-brands or Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons boutiques. Good luck – and we look forward to welcoming you!
