At the House of Bovet, a melody of green is played across its 2020 collections
The House of BOVET has been contributing the finest touch to decorative arts, chronometry, mechanical ingenuity, and innovation since 1822. Here, we showcase a small selection from within the verdant 2020 collection that will appeal to a variety of tastes.
The Virtuoso VII belongs to the Fleurier collection and comes with the iconic patented Amadéo® case that allows the collector to wear the timepiece with a reversible bracelet, as a pocket watch, or as an elegant desk clock. The 2020 Virtuoso VII collection is being expanded with a new model available as a limited edition in red or white gold with a sumptuous green guilloché dial. Once again, the dial makers have displayed great virtuosity in creating not only the two dials but also the various display elements in a reduced size. Equipped with a retrograde perpetual calendar an inverted hand-fitting, a double coaxial second hand and a convertible case, the movement's single barrel ensures over five days of power reserve.
Presented as a perfect pair, the 2020 iterations of the Monsieur Bovet and Miss Audrey are presented with green guilloché dials. The Miss Audrey now features a dial inspired by the lotus flower that reflects sumptuous shades. Housed in a 36mm Amadeo case with a diamond-set bezel and bow, the dial is beautifully enhanced as with any other Amadeo timepiece, can also be converted. In this case, the wearer can choose from a wristwatch, a table clock or a pendant, beautifully complemented by a long jade necklace. The Monsieur Bovet features two faces, an elegant understated design and is powered by an in-house movement that offers seven days of power reserve with a single barrel.
Featuring its hallmark sloped case, the Recital 29 is now presented in a 42mm stainless steel case for the first time; its ergonomics and the functions included make this Récital 29 the perfect timepiece for everyday use whatever the situation. The quality criteria determining the finish of each component meet the same requirements as the finest complications to ensure an irreproachable aesthetic, exemplary chronometry, and lasting reliability. The hallmark guilloche work is once again visible on the dial and the newly-designed caliber displays the hours and minutes on a dial offset at 12 o'clock, along with the moon phase placed at 6 o’clock, underlining the maison’s focus on symmetry and balance.
